Partnerships Manager, North America

Together with our partnered brands and esports organizers, Challengermode is becoming the home for esports players at all levels of play - amateur, collegiate, professional or even for-fun, providing not only a path to professional play, but turning competition into a fun pastime.  To uncover and onboard new gaming experiences and deliver the best possible results for and with our partners, Challengermode is looking for a person to join the team as a Partnerships Manager with a focus on North American partnerships.

A normal day in the Partnerships team can range from scheduled meetings before an onboarding session or a workshop with your fellow colleague, to being at an industry leading esports event representing Challengermode. You could be having a sales pitch for a big international company or maybe you’re helping an esports team start up a tournament series to play with their biggest supporters. Your responsibilities are all aligned around acquiring and onboarding partners onto the platform, making their success our success.


Partner acquisition and onboarding

  • You will be tasked with researching and mapping out the organiser landscape and identifying potential partners.
  • You will be responsible for acquiring and onboarding new organisers and partners in key esports titles and regions.
  • You will negotiate and finalize partnership agreements aligned with Challengermode’s policies.

Program Management

  • You will help our existing partners execute their projects on the platform, assisting them with high level inquiries on the way.
  • You will create and execute our engagement strategies in each of the titles you are responsible for, taking full accountability for the fulfillment of key performance indicators, reporting to both internal and external stakeholders. 
  • You will identify the recurring needs of external stakeholders on the platform in order to provide meaningful input to our product team.
  • Your ultimate goal is to ensure the success of each of our partners using Challengermode.

  • Proven track record in building and/or operating leagues/competitions with commercial partners.
  • Previous work experience within esports/partnerships/sales.
  • You’re structured and track your work.
  • Excellent communication skills and native-level proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Being able to negotiate in high-pressure environments.
  • Having a strategic mindset.
  • Attentive to details.
  • Previous experience in account management.
  • You are comfortable with uncertainty and ambiguity.


  • You’re fluent in multiple languages.
  • You have technical skills such as programming, IT ops, hardware knowledge etc.
  • You’re proficient in writing product copy.
  • You have previously worked in a tech company.
  • Previous experience utilizing and organizing CRM tools such as Salesforce or Copper

As a partnerships manager you will get a lot of responsibility and autonomy. Remember what Uncle Ben told Peter Parker in Spiderman: "With great power comes great responsibility".
